Savaya sits on the cliffs at Uluwatu, high above the Indian Ocean, and is widely regarded as the best club in Asia. The main deck is built around a gold cube stage looking out over open water, with pools and terraces stepping down the cliffside below.

Afternoons are for the pools and the loungers. The room fills as the sun drops, and sunset is the moment everyone comes for — the whole place turns to face the water. If you arrive at ten at night you have missed two thirds of it. Go early, stay late; one entry carries you straight through.
It is on the Bukit, which is about an hour from Canggu when the roads are kind and a good deal longer between three and six. Grab and Gojek are barred from picking up in parts of the Bukit, so the sensible thing is a driver who waits, and we will say so in your itinerary rather than let you find out at two in the morning.

Yes. We hold a complimentary guestlist and it costs nothing — send us your date and how many of you there are and your names go down. Do check “Complimentary Guestlist” when you register, because some events vary: select nights with a headline DJ are paid entry.
Both, and that is the point of it. It is a beach club through the afternoon — pools, daybeds, food — and a proper club after dark. It is not on a beach, though: it is a hundred metres above one, on the cliff, and there is no way down.

Swimwear is fine in the day around the pools, with something to change into for the evening. It gets properly cool on the clifftop once the sun has gone, which catches people out every time.
